About Ahmed Marzouk
I am a hands-on engineering leader and systems architect with a strong track record of designing scalable, low-latency distributed systems and leading impactful architectural change. My work sits at the intersection of architecture, implementation, reliability, and product impact — with a consistent focus on building platforms that are robust, measurable, and operationally mature.
I have designed and operated systems handling millions of products and real-time updates at low-latency performance levels, and I have driven migrations to cloud-native ecosystems while maintaining uptime and production stability. I remain deeply engaged in the technical details including implementation, code reviews, domain modeling, integration boundaries, performance and cost trade-offs, observability, rollout strategies, and incident response.
Over the past several years, I have led and contributed to large-scale platform and architecture initiatives across e-commerce and mobility domains, working on high-traffic, business-critical systems. My experience includes modernizing monolithic platforms into service-oriented and event-driven architectures, improving reliability and operational readiness, and enabling teams to deliver faster with stronger engineering discipline.
Alongside the technical work, I also enjoy mentoring engineers, shaping ways of working, improving processes and creating conditions where teams can operate with autonomy while maintaining high reliability standards. My approach is pragmatic and delivery-oriented; seeing architecture as an enabler of measurable business outcomes rather than an academic exercise.
